Empowering Children.
Personalizing Bionics.

Our Mission is to empower individuals and increase accessibility through interdisciplinary workforce development, engaging STEAM education, and expressive bionics.

Limbitless Solutions is an organization based at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. We specialize in innovative accessibility technology - including our child-focused 3D-printed bionics provided at no cost to families. We also innovate accessibility technology projects, including an EMG-operated control system for power wheelchairs, and interactive video game training for our technology.

LEARN ABOUT US

In 2005, an estimated 1.6 million people in the US had a limb difference: 541,000 people had an upper-arm limb difference.

This value was projected to double by 2050.

More than 32,500 children in the US have experienced a major pediatric amputation

5 in 10,000 children are born with limb difference

Cosmetically realistic myoelectric hands that open and close may cost $20,000 to $30,000 or more, while a neuroprosthetic arm may cost as much as $100,000.

Usage rates reported for upper limb devices are as low as 37%.

EDUCATE AND INSPIRE THE FUTURE

At our facility near UCF in Research park, we engage UCF undergraduate student scholars in internships using project-based learning to support their professional development and skill growth. We also started the ENGAGE program to inspire the K-12 innovators or tomorrow.

EMPOWER CONFIDENCE

For many bionic kids it's not about picking things up. It is changing the conversation around limb difference and empowering their confidence by expressing themselves through personalization of 3D-printed prosthetics that reflect a bionic kid's personality.

CREATE AN ACCESIBLE WORLD

Limbitless endeavors to innovate easy-to-access accessibility technology. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate to develop and innovate while championing an accessibility focus to design for all.

Our Work

Each child who receives a bionic arm becomes a part of our Limbitless family. Our bionic kids and their families are always the core of our mission.
